The Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute Hall was awarded the 2017 District Project to replace the external guttering of the Hall. The Hall plays an important part in the local community hosting a wide range of events, meetings and classes. The Hall was a recipient of a grant in 2016 and used the funds to re-paint the interior of the Hall. Matter of Fact – the monthly community newspaper for Venus Bay, Tarwin Lower and district published an article about the hall and the “makeover” which can be read here.
