Bald Hills Wind Farm participated in the National Wind Farm Open Day on 21 October 2018, running bus tours from the Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute and Memorial Hall to the wind farm. Over 200 people attended the event and enjoyed the wind farm bus tour, hearing about the wind farm’s operations from Senvion staff and an informative and positive presentation from one of the local residents. Bald Hill Wind Farm would like to extend a special thanks to the Tarwin Lower Mechanics Hall, Venus Bay Tarwin Lower & District Men’s Shed Inc., Sista Face Painting, Hops Jumping Castle, Luke & Kim Face Painting and the Renewable Energy Demonstration Trailer for making the day a really great family outing.

The Bald Hills Wind Farm will be participating in this year’s National Wind Farm Open Day on Sunday 21 October. Members of the Bald Hills Wind Farm team will be at the Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute and Memorial Hall with information about wind energy, fun activities for kids and a sausage sizzle. Bus tours to the wind farm will be running throughout the day, departing from the Tarwin Lower Mechanics Institute and Memorial Hall.  Long pants and closed shoes must be worn. Bald Hills Wind Farm received a copy of a report by James C Smith & Associates (Report) earlier this week regarding the alleged nuisance caused by noise levels associated with the wind farm. We have had no prior opportunity to review this Report. While we review its content, we would like to highlight that Bald Hills Wind Farm is fully compliant with noise limits stipulated in its planning permit granted by the State Government of Victoria. Assessing any nuisance associated with noise is a complex area. Since commencing operations, Bald Hills Wind Farm has engaged noise experts to conduct extensive noise monitoring which confirms its compliance with planning permit requirements. Bald Hills Wind Farm Community Fund – Seeking Committee Members

The Community Fund Committee is seeking additional members.  The role of the Committee is to assess the Grant Applications.  A term on the Committee is for two years and requires a time commitment of approximately six hours per year.
